│ The L'Weather Programs require the following hardware configuration: │

│ IBM/PC or Compatible with at least 512 KB of RAM │
│ Printer (for using Print Options only, not required) │
│ DOS Version 2.0 or Higher │
│ 1 Floppy Diskette Drive (2 floppies or Hard disk recommended) │

│ The diskette(s) you received should contain the following files: │
│ (Shareware diskette contains all files in a single ZIP file for the product) │
│ │
│ LW_READ.ME - A documentation file with the latest L'Weather News. │
│ LW_SETUP.DOC - This file ... Information to get your system setup. │
│ INSTALL.BAT - The Installation Procedure, Part 1. │
│ INSTALL2.BAT - The Installation Procedure, Part 2. │
│ LW_PROGS.EXE - Self Extracting File containing the L'Weather Programs. │
│ LW_PROGS.DIR - A file listing of the contents of LW_PROGS.EXE. │
│ LW_DATA.EXE - Self Extracting File containing the L'Weather Data Files. │
│ LW_DATA.DIR - A file listing of the contents of LW_DATA.EXE. │
│ LW_ORDER.FRM - An on disk order form for requesting more programs/data. │
│ LICENSE.DOC - L'Softworks Limited Licensing Agreement. │
│ │
│ Note - If you received a second diskette, it will contain additional program │
│ or data files which could not fit on a single diskette. │

│ To get up and running quickly follow these instructions: │
│ │
│ HARD DISK USERS or users with 720KB or 1.44MB DUAL FLOPPY DISKETTE SYSTEMS │
│ │
│ .... Place the PROGRAM/INSTALL Diskette in the floppy diskette drive. │
│ .... Type A:INSTALL A: C: (substitute the appropriate drive letters) │
│ where A: is the Floppy Diskette containing the │
│ PROGRAM/INSTALL Diskette │
│ and C: is the Hard Disk you want to install onto. │
│ (may be B: for dual floppy diskette systems). │
│ To run the L'Weather programs, first move to the directory containing your │
│ database files (C:\LW) Then type the name of the program you want to use: │
│ LWEATHER or DAILY or HISTORY or LOGGER (depending on programs ordered). │
│ This starts the program. An introductory screen with a menu allows you to │
│ select what you want to do next. The programs display a directory prompt │
│ or a screen with a function list from which you make your selections. │

│ FLOPPY DISK USERS : (Note - 720 kb, 1.44 mb or 1.2 mb disks recommended.) │
│ (Dual floppy system needed - Installing program LWEATHER.EXE as an example) │
│ .... Place the L'Softworks Limited Program Diskette in the floppy diskette │
│ drive A:. Log to drive A: by typing A: │
│ .... Place a blank, formatted diskette into floppy diskette drive B:. │
│ .... Then Type LW_PROGS B: (This unpacks the Program files to a diskette) │
│ .... Wait for the unpacking to complete. When it is done, replace │
│ the diskette in drive B: with a new, blank, formatted diskette. │
│ .... Type LW_DATA B: (This unpacks the Database files to a diskette) │
│ .... To run the program, place the diskette with LWEATHER.EXE in the A: │
│ diskette drive, and the diskette containing the data files into the │
│ B: diskette drive. Move to the B: drive by typing B:. From the B: │
│ drive Type A:LWEATHER. When the directory display appears, select │
│ the data file you wish to use from the list. │

│ See the on-disk or your printed copy of the Product User's Guide for more │
│ information about product usage and possible error conditions. L'Softworks │
│ Limited will assist you in setting up your L'Weather Program if you have any │
│ problems that the User's Guide does not seem to solve. Call L'Softworks │
│ Limited at (612) 636-5538 (best after 6:30 p.m. Central Time or leave a │
│ message on the answering machine and we will get back to you). You may │
